Security has been stepped up in Haryana, especially Karnal, in view of the call for gherao of Karnal mini secretariat’ given by various farmer organisations as well as the scheduled Kisan Mahapanchayat today. As many as 40 companies of additional force, including 10 paramilitary, have been deployed at various locations in Karnal district to tackle the situation. The Haryana government has suspended the mobile internet services in Karnal district from 12.30pm on Monday to 11.59pm on Tuesday (September 7) to maintain law and order.
